Adults and children 12 years of age or older can use the dosing cup provided to measure out a dose of 30mL every ½ hour as needed to treat symptoms of overindulgence, like indigestion, nausea, heartburn, upset stomach, and diarrhea. Make sure not to take more than 8 doses (240mL) within 24 hours.
Caplets. Pepto Bismol indigestion medicine also comes in caplet form. Adults and children 12 years and older can take 1 dose of 2 caplets every 30 minutes. Make sure not to take more than 8 doses (16 caplets) in a 24-hour period.
Chews. Upset stomach relief is available in chewable forms, too. Pepto Chews address nausea, heartburn, upset stomach, indigestion, and diarrhea with a soothing mint flavor. Adults and children 12 years or older may take 2 chewable tablets every half hour as needed until symptoms subside, as long as they take no more than 8 doses (16 chewable tablets) within 24 hours.
